LaKeith Smith | Justice for LaKeith Smith

Criminal Justice

At 15 years, old LaKeith Smith was sentenced to 65 years because the cops killed his friend. LaKetih was given a sentence to die in jail, however he was never violent and never harmed anyone. He was in a house he shouldn't have been in and it was his first time ever being arrested.

AFTP Foundation is there to support LaKeith, his family and the campaign in the pursuit to justice. Click to learn more about LaKeith Smith's injustice.

United Stated Veterans

Homeless USA Veterans: Awareness

That property in Los Angeles, specifically Brentwood, California was donated in 1888, called the West LA VA. It was nearly 1,000 acres donated in as a deed to the federal government to be a soldiers home. In the 1950’s during the Korean War, over 4,000 veterans called it a home. As of January 2020, Veterans sleep in tents on asphalt. Not one veteran living on the property has a key. Showers are often broken.

We've brought millions of views to this issue and help do our best to get Veterans things they need and  the issues are known to the world by documenting and sharing on social media, click here to watch.

California Police Release Records

Senate Bill 1421, or Peace Officers: Release of Records, is a California state law that makes police records relating to officer use-of-force incidents, sexual assault, and acts of dishonesty accessible under the California Public Records Act.

Los Angeles Sheriffs made their records public here, https://lasdsb1421.powerappsportals.us

AFTP Foundation has requested records from Beverly Hills Police Department 7/9/22.

Justice For Valentina

On the morning of Thursday, December 23, 14-year-old Valentina Orellana Peralta tragically died when an LAPD officer's stray bullet struck her when in the Burlington Coat Factory dressing room shopping with her mother. Valentina and her mother went to Los Angeles from Santiago, Chile to be reunited with Valentina's older sister, and with the goal of a better life in California just months before her death.

AFTP Foundation connected the family of Valentina to attorney Benjamin Crump who joined as co-counsel to represent the family in their civil case. We continue to support the family however we can.
